Our Team in St. Albert

Jessica graduated from the University of Alberta in 2013 with a degree in Biological Sciences with a Business minor. She then completed her dental education at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas (UNLV) in May of 2017.

During her four years in Nevada, Jessica had the opportunity to provide care to a diverse range of patients at student-run clinics. These volunteer clinics served homeless patients, military veterans, and children in need. Treating and getting to know patients of all ages is Jessica’s greatest passion.

Jessica grew up in St. Albert where she was involved with playing and coaching ringette. She enjoys travelling, being physically active, and keeping up with friends. With her spouse, Jayson at her side, Jessica is happy to settle down in the St. Albert area and become an active member of the community.

Dr. Sherry Dick graduated with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan Dental College in 1988. In 1992 she graduated from the first American accredited cosmetic dentistry program at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Dick worked in private practices in Saskatchewan and Edmonton before starting her first St. Albert Dental practice in 1997.

Dr. Sherry Dick has employed many of the technologies that have emerged since then such as Invisalign, tooth whitening, computer-generated Cerec crowns, digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, Botox™, The Wand for comfortable injections, and Velscope oral cancer screenings.

In Dr. Dick’s opinion, one of the most exciting breakthroughs has been the ability to straighten teeth with the Invisalign system.

Dr. Dick lives in St. Albert with her husband. They have two grown children, Jessica and Carson. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and gardening.

Rachel was born in St. Albert and grew up in a few different places in Alberta, including Mayerthorpe, Lac La Biche, Fort McMurray, and Morinville. She completed her dental assistant training at NAIT in Edmonton, joining our team full-time May 2018.

Rachel likes to spend time with her family, camp, and play basketball and volleyball. Travelling to warm destinations is also one of her favourite things. Rachel is a self- taught Ukulele player although, she limits her singing to the shower.

Krista graduated from NAIT in 2003 and has been a part of the Otara Dental team since 2004. Her favourite part about dentistry is getting to know patients and their families.

Krista and her husband live in Edmonton with their son Kaleb and their cat, Paper. In her spare time, she enjoys genealogy and researching her family tree on Ancestry as well as keeping up to date on anything pop culture.

Amie grew up in St. Albert and attended school close to home at the University of Alberta. She graduated from the University of Alberta’s Dental Hygiene program in 2014 and has been practicing dental hygiene in the Edmonton area ever since.

Amie strives to provide thorough, comforting care to patients of all ages. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, being outdoors, and running with her dog, Ernie.

Josie is a registered dental Hygienist. She received her Dental Hygiene diploma from the University of Alberta, and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree in 2010. She received the Dr. Thomas J. Marrie Award for demonstrating the most empathy, respect and compassion for patients during the clinical phase of her hygiene program. She loves the Dental Hygiene profession because of the individual focus it can help provide in helping her patients achieve great dental and overall health.

Josie loves being outdoors, going for walks with her husband and one year old daughter, and spending the weekends at the lake with family.

Julie was born in London, England. When Julie was two years old, she moved to Toronto, staying there until she was fifteen. Eventually, her family relocated to Vancouver, and Julie took her dental assistant training in 1984 at Vancouver community college. Julie joined Dr. Sherry in March of 2001 and decided to work in reception in 2002.

Julie and her husband Doug have two grown children; Samantha and David as well as a lovely cat named Kizzi. Julie loves camping, bike riding, and going to the gym.
